“I have always admired the extraordinary quality of your remarkable work. Your operation is truly impressive. I’ve toured numerous factories and workspaces both here and abroad throughout my career and have never seen anything quite like your facility.”

CHAIR MAKING
Since our founding in 1988, we have made more than 1,000 individually fitted chairs. Each chair we make is custom fit to an individual’s exact anthropometric dimensions, much like a bespoke suit. In producing a fitted chair, we first measure the client and then customize the design for dimension, comfort angles, lumbar support, firmness and other variables. This means that when creating a pair, each chair can fit the person it was designed for exactly, while still being a visually identical pair.
Many owners of our chairs describe them as the most comfortable they have ever experienced—a prime example of our commitment to making art that fits perfectly into the lives of our patrons.

“If ever or whenever you need a personal referral, I would be totally forthright.
You are simply the best..”

AN ARTIST’S EYE
We approach every project with an artist’s eye. Put simply, we see a tabletop as a canvas to be transformed into a true work of art. Our goal is to allow the wood, unique and unrepeatable in its own right, to guide us toward where it wants to be. Each individual log speaks to us, and we listen carefully. This is a sensitive and artistic process which ultimately reveals the sensational, dazzling beauty of the wood.

“On a few occasions over the past three decades, we’ve been asked to turn our focus to architectural woodwork. These are special projects that we will typically only accept when we are truly excited by the client’s vision.
Our approach is to treat the walls and ceilings as geometric compositions. We then apply our artistic virtuosity to every surface in the room—in this case, a library. The immense ceiling is realized in an elliptical radial match of crotch mahogany, complemented by other exotic veneer selections from our Wood Collection.
While we undertake projects of this kind infrequently, the purity and beauty that can be achieved is astounding.”
